We believe that true community transformation requires more than service; it requires a collective voice and strategic advocacy that shape public policy and systems so that all women and families have the opportunity to thrive.

Advocacy is the intentional, nonpartisan work we do to influence public policies, practices, and social conditions that affect the lives of African American women, their families, and the communities we serve. It is rooted in the belief that equity, opportunity, and justice must be upheld through both direct service and meaningful civic engagement.

Our advocacy priorities are aligned with the values of sisterhood, cultural affirmation, community empowerment, and shared growth. Through research, community engagement, coalition building, education, and strategic partnerships, we lift up the voices of those often unheard and advocate for policies that improve lives and expand access to opportunity.
